Btown Ball Hockey programs ares open to children born in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 or 2018 birth years.Try Ball Hockey for Free Night:
September 5th. All players between the ages of 5 - 12 are welcome to attend for free. We will play fun games and have a shootout. No equipment necessary (just bring running shoes and gym clothes -we will have stick, balls, etc.). Location: Childs Elementary - 2211 S High St, Bloomington, IN. PLEASE SCROLL UP TO SIGN UP AND SECURE YOUR SPOT.August Mini-Season:
Sessions will run every Thursday night from August 8th - August 29th (4 sessions). All sessions will be at Childs Elementary - 2211 S High St, Bloomington, IN.
- Level 1 runs from 6:00 - 7:00 (ideal for new players of any age and players 7 and under with prior experience).
- Level 2 runs from 7:10 - 8:10 (ideal for players with prior experience 8 and over).
Equipment:
- Running shoes (ideal shoes are court shoes or basketball shoes), Shorts, T-shirt & Water bottle.
- Recommended: Either hockey helmet with cage or eye goggles (racquetball/sport style) & mouth guard (if you do not have this we can help you source it after sign up). Optional: Hockey gloves and shin guards (soccer style or hockey style both work).
- No rollerblades or roller skates.
- We will supply ball hockey sticks for players to use during the sessions (these have a plastic blade and are made for indoor ball hockey use). You cannot use a regular hockey stick on the gym floor. All balls, nets, pinnies, goalie gear, and other equipment will be provided.
Regular Format:
- The first 25-35 minutes of each session will provide players with a warm-up and some skill specific drills. The remainder of the time will be spent playing organized fun games of 4 v. 4 or 5 v. 5 hockey. This program will help players develop their overall hockey awareness, stick skills, agility, and conditioning. The primary coaches in charge of this program are USA Hockey (www.usahockey.com) and SafeSport certified (uscenterforsafesport.org).
